SoGES and BWG Sponsored Panel: "Women in Science: Challenges and Balances"

Fashioning a career in science is a challenge for anyone. Do women face special challenges? If so, what are the best ways to meet them, personally and institutionally? Join us for a wide-ranging panel discussion on work/family balance, networking, salary issues and more.

PANELIST INFORMATION:

Dr. Richard Primack is Professor of Biology at Boston University and Editor-in-Chief of the journal Biological Conservation.

Dr. Jill Baron is an ecosystem ecologist with the U.S. Geological Survey and Senior Research Ecologist with the Natural Resource Ecology Laboratory at Colorado State 

University.

Dr. Francesca Cotrufo is Professor of Soil Ecology in the Department of Soil and Crop Science at Colorado State University.

Dr. Claudia Boot is a Research Scientist at CSU’s Natural Resource Ecology Laboratory with a current focus on soil microbial ecology and the interaction between organic 

matter structure and ecosystem function.

Dr. Courtney Schultz is Assistant Professor of Natural Resource and Forest Policy in the Department of Forest and Rangeland Stewardship at Colorado State University.
